My whole family loves it! Even my 65 year old mom thought it was extremely fun!Â
I gave this game as a gift to my brother who loves DnD, but my whole family loves it! Even my 65 year old mom thought it was extremely fun! The game lasted about 3 hours and the replay-ability is fantastic. I highly recommend this game to anyone that likes DnD but it’s also great for people that aren’t familiar with DnD too!

We enjoyed the game immensely an feel that it was a good value for the money.
This game is so fun! My 9 year old enjoyed it as much as my husband and I did.
It did take about an hour to set up and learn the first time, but I'm confident that subsequent playthroughs will be more timely.
You can choose to work with less or more bosses, and the cooperative nature of the game makes it really nice for families. It is really fun to figure out the game together and allow our son to help build the strategy for overcoming the bosses! It comes with the typical character lineup of ranged, magic, tank type, and dps- so it does require cooperation.
We enjoyed the game immensely an feel that it was a good value for the money.

This game is a good step in the right direction of playing D&D for young kids who’ve never played before.
This game is a good step in the right direction of playing D&D for young kids who’ve never played before. It can be a little confusing when going through everything and all the pieces but I think once you get through everything and just kind of feel your way through you learn as you go. There’s a lot of learning and it’s definitely a game for older elementary kids. We have the Horrified: Universal Monsters as well and enjoyed that game too.

Testimonials - Horrified Dungeons & Dragons

This is a well-crafted, charming game that I've enjoyed several times.
This is a well-crafted, charming game that I've enjoyed several times.
The game materials are well-made and of a high quality, and the gameplay itself is delightful for people of many different ages. I played it with people who didn't speak the same language, and we all had a dandy time. You can amp up the difficulty quite easily by reducing the number of hint cards given. No game lasted more than an hour, even with the most rigorous of thinkers. A fine addition to your collection!

I love this game!! More and more, I want to play cooperative games, and this is a perfect example of why
I love this game!! More and more, I want to play cooperative games, and this is a perfect example of why-- everyone works together every step of the way and it's a lot of fun. We do change the rules slightly, which helps overall game play: the "ghost" is allowed to use any of the vision cards, not just the recommended hand of 7. (We found that limiting the visions to what's on the 7 cards made the guessing that much more difficult. Using all of the cards does slow the game play a bit in the beginning, but the ghost will become faster at choosing vision cards as he or she learns them.) The game "moves" and doesn't feel boring or stagnant at any point. Definitely leave yourself at least an hour to play, but we've completed games in less time. I played with someone who was 10 at the time and she needed some help but still loved the game and enjoyed herself. I think it might be too difficult for anyone under 10.

ATt the end, you are just too tired of the experience that it doesn't matter if you finish the task. Beautiful illustrations though.
To me, a little dose of healthy competition among friends or relatives is what makes board games engaging. You banter and laugh in the harmless setting of the game. All of this is impossible with this particular "cooperative" game, where all the stress is on the one playing as the spirit, who has to come up with a good set of matching cards while the others wait trying to fill the dead time. It is frankly upsetting for all involved and, at the end, you are just too tired of the experience that it doesn't matter if you finish the task. Beautiful illustrations though.

Testimonials - Munchkin

Absolute game-changer for game night!
If you stopped playing Munchkin because games took three hours, buy this immediately. The new gold tokens and quick-start cards speed things up so much. It's the same hilarious, backstabbing game but plays twice as fast and looks way better."

Awesome upgrades, but the ending is softer.
Steve Jackson Games did a great job modernizing this. Bribing people with physical gold pieces is incredibly fun. My only complaint is the new shared victory rule—it stops the game from dragging on forever, but it takes away some of that brutal, classic betrayal."
Tanya
Smoother to play, but lost some soul.
It’s definitely a faster, smoother experience for casual nights, but veterans might be disappointed. They cleaned up the rules and removed some classic cards, making it feel a bit too sanitized. It's better for beginners, but it lost that chaotic, old-school vibe."
